Blessings

Today we are thinking about the blessings in our lives.

There are a few definitions of blessing but the one for today is defined by Merriam-Webster as, “a thing conducive to happiness or welfare.”

Blessings are all over if you look for them.

Are you raising a family?  What a blessing of a husband and children.

Engaged? You are blessed with a future partner and new life ahead.

Did you see a beautiful sunrise?  Another blessing. 

A walk along a beach or in a beautiful park.  A blessing.

Are you in a retirement facility or nursing home?  Do you have any special staff or friends there?  Blessings.

When life hits bumps and difficulties, can you still see some blessings?  

Did you make a new friend?  Did someone smile and treat you nicely at the coffee shop?  Look at those blessings.

Blessings might be easy to see or something you need to look for.  They are all around so try and find some to add some happiness.

Happiness can come to you and when it does you may be able to see a blessing for two that you didn’t realize were there.
